Quick & Easy: Gluten-Free Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

Is a big game coming up? Or have you had a long week at work or school and just want to hang around the house and binge watch your favorite show? Aren’t a fan of spicy buffalo wings? These Gluten-Free Honey BBQ Chicken Wings are the perfect appetizer for BBQ lovers! They also pair well with your favorite rice!! Yummy, yummy you have a meal.

These Honey BBQ Chicken Wings are great! You can adjust the sauce to make it sweeter, tangy or even spicy by adding mustard, vinegar or your favorite hot sauce! We LOVE to explore different flavors on our chicken wings!!

The perfect recipe!

You don’t have to worry about deep frying these wings!! YESSSS, that means less calories. AYE! This recipe is BAKED in the oven. This recipe is easy, makes prep time go by so fast! Cleaning up? No problem, it will only take you a few minutes (you can serve them on the baking sheet you bake them on!)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425F. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil and grease with oil of choice.

Throughly wash chicke wings, then set aside. In a medium size bowl, mix together gluten-free flour, water and dairy-free milk. Then mix in spices. The batter will become a thicker consistency.

Dip chicken wings in the batter. Shake off any excess batter before placing chicken wings on the baking sheet. 

Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes. When they are ready, they will be golden brown.

Well chicken wings are in the oven, prep honey BBQ sauce. In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup to a cup of BBQ sauce with 4 tablespoons of honey.

When chicken wings are done, place in bowl with BBQ sauce. Lightly toss until fully coated with sauce. Then place back on baking sheet. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes. The longer they are in the oven, the crispier they will get! 

Serve with vegan ranch or your favorite dipping sauce!! Enjoy.

  • 3.5 lbs chicken wings

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt

Notes

Cook chicken wings on your barbeque grill for that classic smokey grill taste! Place battered wings on grill. Flip every 7 minutes until golden brown. Place cooked wings in bbq sauce and fully coat. Place back on the grill for about 3-5 minutes.
