Life gets a crazy sometimes, so eat the cake!
Hi ladies and gents. I am Marta, creator of Deliciously Marta. I grew up in a home where we had to make the most of what we had. We didn’t have a lot of money. So many of the things that I owned, ate, or wore where homemade or repurposed. All I knew was second hand stores (before they were in) and delicious food that came from the garden. I didn’t really shop in a “normal” store until my late teens.
I learned how to be handy. I learned how to be creative. I learned how to appreciate hand crafted and freshly picked. Even though I didn’t have a green thumb as a child, I began to learn recently. And I am even more in LOVE.
For many years I underestimated the power of good foods. I never realized that certain foods we are would effect my body and mood. I would get done eating something and all of a sudden feel upset. I didn’t understand why. Other foods I would eat, would make me feel happy and would give me more energy. Then, I realized foods that we put in our bodies have a big impact on how we feel on a day to day basis.
So, I decided to start this blog. Firstly, because I love baking and cooking. Secondly, because I want to share my experience with food. Creating nutritious and delicious foods. Food that is healthy and good for us doesn’t have to be boring. And we also don’t have to limit ourselves either. It is okay to eat the cake every once in a while.
Life is about balance.
So I am deciding to live my tastiest life! Full of fun, flavorful foods, that make me feel good!
