It’s no suprise that this year Halloween is going to be celebrated just a little bit different. What better way to celebrate Halloween this year with a small baking project! These brownies are so easy to make, you can have the kiddos help you out. They are perfect to make if you are going to have a few friend over. Everyone is sure to love these.

What Candy To Use?

We love adding Reese’s peanut butter cups into these brownies. However you can use whatever candy you’d like. Are you a fan of butterfingers, sneakers? Those taste really good in these. Get creative with it!

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325F degrees. Lightly spray a 9×9 dish or line with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, baking powder, chocolate chips and salt.⁣

In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, water and vanilla.

Slowly mix in the wet ingredients with the dry until just combined (we don’t want to over mix!)

Pour half of the batter into the pan. (It’s going to have a thick consistency, that’s okay!!) use a spatula to smooth the top of it. Then add a layer of Oreos and peanut butter cups. Then pour the rest of the batter on top. Smooth out and add the an other layer of Oreos and peanut butter cups and a few eyeballs.

Bake for 40-49 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with only a few crumbs attached to it.

You can serve these Spooky Oreo Brownies warm, or wait for them to be cooled off. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 four days at room temperature or freeze!
