Tasty….for Cheat Day!
Today I am feeling a little guilty. I really wanted brownies. But like REAL brownies. So I decided to do a mixture between my brownies I make and my grandmother’s.
Let’s Get Started
Preheat oven to 350 F
We will be using a sauce pan for this recipe. Prepare your sauce pan over medium heat.
Organize your ingredients so they are ready to go. This will make it easier to stir everything into the batter in a timely matter.
Add shorting into the sauce pan. Allow it to melt for a minute.
Use a wooden spoon to stir in chocolate chips.
Once the chocolate chips are well melted. Begin too whisk chocolate chips, to get it completely smooth.
Then remove sauce pan from heat.
Dry Ingredients & Eggs
Add vanilla extract.
Slowly mix in sugar.
The batter will start to look a little chalk-like. That is okay! It will change once the eggs are in.
Egg time! Whisk those eggs in.
Now time to add the flour. Take your time with this…..or it could get messy. You can use a wooden spoon and fold in the flour. Or use the whisk. Either will get the job done.
Pour your batter into a 9 inch round pan, or whatever you want to use.
Then add a small layer of chocolate chips.
MARSHMALLOW time! Add your marshmallows last. Your brownie batter is ready to go in the oven.
Leave in oven for 30-40 minutes.
Remember every oven in different.
Dessert is Served
Now you are ready to enjoy a delicious treat!
