Tasty Tuesday: Vegan Almond Butter Banana Bread
I am not a vegan. However I love all forms of cooking and baking. I enjoy vegan treats and foods.
I have a few friends who are vegan. Over the years, I have played with a few different vegan recipes. I have perfected my vegan banana bread recipe and wanted to share it with you guys!
If you don’t know what vegan is. That is okay. I didn’t know either for the longest time. Veganism is a way of living that attempts to exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty. This could include food, clothing or any other forms that could potentially exploit animals.
Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
In a small bowl combine sugars together. In a separate bowl combine, salt, baking powder and flour. Mix together.
In a large mixing bowl cut bananas into smaller pieces.
Combine sugar to bananas. Add almond butter and vanilla.
Then set mixer to medium speed for 1 minute.
Before pouring flour mix into banana batter. Add cinnamon to the top of the flour.
Add all dry ingredients at once into bowl.
Set mixer speed to medium. Mix for 2 minutes.
Batter will be nice and gooey!
Pour batter into a 9 in pan. Or a bread pan. You can also add a layer of vegan butter on the bottom of the pan. So it doesn’t stick.
Before you put the batter in the oven. Add about 1/4 cup of brown sugar to the top of the batter.
Bake in oven for 40-50 minutes. The middle should be fully cooked.
Let bread sit for a few minutes to cool off.
Cut bread to your liking.
Enjoy this treat right out of the oven with some vegan butter! Or store for a late night snack.
